Gambler’s Chest Insert
Organise you cards, tokens and dice with our Gambler’s Chest insert. The insert was designed to store your game content as efficiently as possible, whilst also making play easier with removable trays for tokens and cards. Multiple options are available to suit gamers who prefer to store their gear cards separately, with a few options to choose from for future expansion. Due to the reduced height of the Gambler’s Chest box compared to the core box, the Gambler’s Chest insert does not have space for the rule book or settlement/survivor sheets. Many sizes of cards are also present in the core game box, and therefore space has not been allocated in the Gambler’s Chest insert for these e.g. settlement events (plus Scout cards) and settlement location cards.
Images show Kingdom Death: Monster Gambler’s Chest expansion, which is not included with this product. Game contents shown are all sleeved in premium 100um sleeves. Cards that have spaces or decks in the core box have not been included in photos.

Layout Options
Trays have pre-cut holes in their sides to ease removal from the box, and also holes in the bottom of the trays to assist in removing their contents without turning the tray upside down!
There are four layout options:
-
- Option A – Best choice for keeping the gear cards in the box. Keeps the original settlement box.
- Option B – Best choice for keeping the original settlement box, but storing gear cards in a binder.
- Option C – Best choice for using our fixed dividers for knowledge cards. Looses the settlement box tray, but you can order it separately.
- Option D – Best for most future expansion. Lots of space for standard cards. Looses the settlement box tray, but you can order it separately.
- Option E – Best for gear cards and more future expansion . Lots of space for standard cards. Looses the settlement box tray, but you can order it separately.
Settlement Box
An insert for the original settlement box is included in layout options A and B, it can be used to store the current state of the settlement, but unlike the original plastic insert, will fit sleeved cards. Options that include the settlement box insert also include a felt side panel for the adjacent knowledge card tray, so that you don’t scratch the settlement box whilst sliding it in and out.
Tokens and Terrain Trays
The trays for terrain and tokens are included in all layout options and stack on top of each other. The token tray has added slots in the bottom to poke your fingers through if the tokens get trapped, but carefully sized so that the tokens can’t escape. That said, you’ll need to keep the tiny hit point dice in the little bag they came in! The terrain tray is large enough to hold all the new terrain tiles, plus the philosophy booklets.
Box Height
Whilst there isn’t space in the Gambler’s Chest insert to fit the rule book and all your settlement paperwork, there is still space to fit the encounter board on top of the trays without raising the lid of the box.
Option A
- Space for Gear cards.
- Settlement box.
Option B
- No space for gear cards, you will need to store them somewhere else, e.g. in a binder.
- Settlement box.
Option C
- Best option for use with our Knowledge Card Dividers as there are two trays for them. Small decks with many dividers take a lot of space!
- No space for gear cards, you will need to store them somewhere else, e.g. in a binder.
- No settlement box, but you can order it separately.
Option D
- Best option for future expansion. Look at all that spare space for standard cards!
- No space for gear cards, you will need to store them somewhere else, e.g. in a binder.
- No settlement box, but you can order it separately.
Option E
- Space for gear cards.
- Great option for future expansions.
- No settlement box, but you can order it separately.
Size
Fits within the original Gambler’s Chest box, and adds approximately 2kg of weight to the box.

I have several Xelaser inserts now they are all excellent and the Gamblers Chest insert is no different. Love that it has a number of options. Quality is great and the service is very quick. High recommended

Communication and customer service alone is worth 5 stars. My friend and I each got the Option C along with the Knowledge Diviers, Scout Grid and GC Dividers. The folks at Xelaser packed everything in two separate boxes that were then secured together for shipping, so that upon receiving all we had to do was cut the securing tapes off and take our own boxes home.
Assembly was straightforward and the boxes seem secure enough. I gave my insert a satin black finish with spray paint. Sleeved cards fit the insert well, with two sections to spare in one of the basic card trays (fourth from the left in Option C image).
We have played only one session so far, but as with the core game’s insert, this one was worth its weight in gold. These inserts are a tremondous help with the organization challenge of Kingdom Death.
