Kingdom Death Monster Settlement and Hunt Board
Updated for changes in KDM 1.5. Now also available as an innovations tracking board. Select the appropriate option before adding to your cart.
Ever tried to play more than one lantern year of Kingdom Death Monster and had to spend ages re-setting the boards? Moving the showdown board out of the way, just to get the settlement board out, then a few minutes later turning that over and setting up the hunt board, then repeating the cycle. This alternative Kingdom Death Monster Settlement and Hunt board is designed to be the solution to that problem.
This alternative board is intended to be placed besides the Showdown board, and remain there during your session. The settlements buildings have a space on the top of the board. Â The top half of the board contains a space to display the settlements principles and a counter to track your endeavours. Across the top of the Hunt area of the board is a set of reminders for the steps to execute during the Settlement phase.
Once your settlement has selected a quarry for their next hunt, move down to the Hunt board and place the hunt event cards along this track as you usually would. You’ll also find reminders of the hunt special events engraved in their respective spaces (namely overwhelming darkness and starvation). Use the survivor and lion token to track your survivors as they hunt their quarry. Once the survivors catch the quarry, you can move straight to the showdown without having to move any boards.
Made out of 3mm MDF or Black Acrylic.

I have wanted to buy this little bit of bling from the first time I saw it.
Waited some time pondering the use, but the fiddly switching of boards finally got to me.
Enter the settlement/hunt board. Very decently packed, no damage at all, delivered in a very timely fashion and some extra pegs for the lion/survivor/endeavor token (you just never know, right),
Very easy to assemble (MDF version) and a very nice result.
One remark is that the survivor has only one ‘peg-hole’; this makes it a bit wobbly on the track. Could be improved by another hole to add a peg for added stability. I fixed this by using one of the additional pegs, trimming it and gluing it to the back of the survivor. Problem solved (though not very elegantly if you are not very handy, like I am)!
Mind you, it might look big in the pictures, but it is actually really broad and high. Look at between 28 and 30 cm (about 1 foot) high, the latter including endeavor peg on top and almost 90 cm (3 feet) wide.
In short: a great addition to the money sink that has become KD:M; can only recommend to people who like something huge and blingy, but also practical on their game table. Keep looking forward to future ideas and releases!
